Public Trustees AustraliaState Trustees' Managing Director, Tony Fitzgerald, said the State-owned financial services business is proud once again to be a premier sponsor of this year's Victorian Seniors Festival.

25 September 2012

"There is a very special synergy between State Trustees, senior Victorians and the Office of the Senior Victorian," he said.

"State Trustees values senior Victorians' ongoing contributions to the community. State Trustees also has a strong track record of adding value to Victorians' lives over the past seven decades, to help them make the most of their financial opportunities."

"Part of our core business is providing expert and professional financial services connected with estate planning and legally sound Will writing. We are an enduring trustee company and a market leader," Mr Fitzgerald said.

He said the Office of the Senior Victorian has developed a comprehensive program which runs over the week-long festival, from 7 14 October, 2012.

"Following the fabulous success of our involvement in last year's Seniors Festival, this year we are again pleased to be offering an amazing deal to Victorian Seniors. Until 30 November 2012, any Seniors Card holder can make an appointment to have their Will prepared for just $45. This is truly huge value for money," Mr Fitzgerald said.

"Research we have commissioned shows that one fifth of Victorians over the age of 50 do not have a Will. This not only denies a person a say in how they want their estate distributed, but it also can create a hassle for their loved ones left behind."

"To prevent this, State Trustees can provide expert assistance in Will preparation, as well as in administering estates," he said.

Mr Fitzgerald said that State Trustees is also running a number of free information sessions across the State, regarding its range of products and services.

"This includes our services as executor or administrator of deceased estates. We are impartial and independent when we take on these vital roles, and importantly we also have more than 70 years' experience behind us."

In order to ensure a place, Mr Fitzgerald urged Victorians with a Seniors Card to ring State Trustees on 03 9667 6122, or to visit www.statetrustees.com.au/community/seniors-festival to make an appointment.

Mr Fitzgerald said the ever-popular Country Concert music series starring the likes of Debra Byrne, Frankie J Holden, Normie Rowe, and Denise Drysdale - is also a feature of State Trustees' exciting sponsorship of the 2012 Victorian Seniors Festival.
